Are You a Worker Affected by Foreign Competition?

TAA, Trade Adjustment Assistance, is available to workers whose companies have or will:

  • Move production outside of the USA;
  • Outsource jobs outside of the USA;
  • Compete with foreign companies;
  • Import from foreign suppliers; OR,
  • Supply customers impacted by foreign competition

Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) is a federally funded program created in the 1960′s to provide support to workers laid off due to U.S. trade agreements.  It is administered by the U.S. Department of Labor and provides benefits to eligible workers.

The goal of TAA is to return job seekers to work as quickly as possible by providing benefits and services specific to the needs of the TAA eligible worker.
